Master Ad Public Co., Ltd. (MACO) earned 53% revenue increase in Quarter 1/2018, compared with the same period last year or Baht 290 million and made a net profit of Baht 54million, a 48% increase from the previous year. What drove the revenue increase was network expansion to cover the entire nation through M&A deals last year, and the change from static media in 21 prime areas into digital media in July 2017. The digital screens were increased to 35 in January 2018. MACO received continual positive feedback from its clients.
Taking pride in the outdoor advertising leadership, Mr. Phoon Chiong Kit (Mr. CK), MACO Chief Executive Officer said the strategy of increasing outdoor advertising media to cover the entire nation through investment in Multi Sign and Comass who had advertising media in prime areas was a success. After the merging, MACO was ever growing faster, bringing satisfactory operating results in 2017 and continued to the first quarter in 2018 as MACO could earn as much revenue as Baht 290 million, a 53 % increase and net profit of Baht 54 million, a 48% increase from the previous year.
The Chief Executive Officer said in terms of the business strategy in 2018, MACO would continue with the development of advertising media in hands and look for other potential areas to install additional static media or digital media. In addition, MACO is trying to set a footstep overseas, first in the AEC countries to cope with advertisement budget for consumer products in and outside the country. The overseas business will be a joint venture with local alliances. Today, MACO is finalizing its negotiations with those local alliances and it is expected that the picture will be clear in the middle of this year.
