After the Extraordinary Shareholders Meeting of MACO has resolved to approve the right offering of 687.78 million new ordinary shares to the existing shareholders at the ratio of 5 existing shares to 1 new share at the offering price of 2.00 Baht each, a total of 1,375,564,146 Baht along with the issuing and allocating of the Warrant MACO-W2 to the existing shareholders who have subscribed and received the newly issued ordinary shares at the ratio of 1 share to 2 units of MACO-W2. The number of eligible shareholders now exceeds the target even though the average board price is 1.80-1.90 Baht.
From an interview with MR. Phoon Chiong Kit (Mr. CK), the CEO of Master Ad Public Company Limited (MACO), the leader in Out of Home Media network, said that MACO plans a clear investment strategy by paving the way for media expansion to the ASEAN region. Recently, the Company has increased capital to expand its business in 3 main businesses:
1. Investment in VGI Malaysia who has a very strong media network;
2. Acquisition of shares in Trans Ad, a company specializing in the Multimedia Display System, system installation and maintenance, communications networks, distribution of various types of media equipment, and related services. This will increase the Company's capacity to render the integrated media services even better;
and 3. Investment in Roctec Technology Limited, a company offering design and system installation, incorporated under the laws of Hong Kong. Its focus is on control systems, interfaces, and display systems covering many industries, such as mass transit systems, government agencies, educational institutions and financial institutions.
This investment will strengthen the expertise in advertising media management as well as laying the foundation for expanding the advertising network to potential areas both domestic and abroad, which will contribute to revenue and profitability for the Company for stronger growth in the future. The number of applications for the rights offering that exceeds the limit reflects that the shareholders have confidence in the business expansion plan of the Company.
